how does it work?

Road planing is designed to reduce the length of time required to resurface a road or pavement and minimise the environmental impact. Specialist planing machinery is used to skim the top surface of the damaged area, similar to stripping wallpaper. The new membrane and surface can be overlaid on the top of this, giving the surface all of the anti-skid capabilities that are necessary by law to meet required safety standards. This way of working is especially popular with highways providers as it reduces the amount of time that a road needs to be closed and thus the disruption on other roads in the area.
